It does not matter if you are left, right or middle in your political beliefs, using race, gender or religion as a base for insult is NEVER acceptable. We encourage Mr Peter Lyons to apologize to Mrs Brussalis and to the community for his recent behavior at the May 22 school board meeting. PR Kids First candidates believe all people should be treated with kindness and respect regardless of differences. It is time to set a better example to our community. Vote for Leslie Miler on district #2 if you do NOT want more of the same behavior on the school board.

Addendum: June 26, 2023

At the board meeting this week Mrs Brussalis asked for an apology from Mr Lyons for his comments towards her at the May 22 school board meeting. After reading her statement, as is in typical fashion for Mr Lyons and a few others on the board, they ignored Mrs Brussalis’ statement and re-directed the conversation to a different point. Ignore and deflect is a standard operating practice we have seen Mr Lyons perform on a number of occasions. He attempts to portray a moral high-ground, but he fails miserably time and time again. Mr Lyons did not apologize. See for yourself the exchange that occurred at the end of the board meeting this week.

The board needs to work together. However, we have seen time and time again where Mr Lyons lacks leadership ability and collaboration as a board member. Change is absolutely needed on board membership.

PR Kids First has the correct leadership and collaboration skills in their candidates for the general election. These skills are desperately needed on the board, to mesh with the other board members. Tell your friends, tell your neighbors, get out and vote for
