Thank You !!

To our community of neighbors, old friends, new friends, and family, Leslie, Mike and Phil would like to thank each and every one of you with our whole heart! We not only won the general election in district #2 and #3, but because of the turnout by all of our community, we CRUSHED IT!

This campaign was won by all of you. Our community showed up at the polls and sent a message to the Pine-Richland School District. Its time for change, good change and necessary change.

Together as a community, from grass roots and parents who wanted change, we were able to prove that the parents and taxpayers of this community want to be represented fairly at the school board and want to have a voice in the interest and education of their children.

Everyone around the community helped and THANKS needs to go to the following:

  • Our PR Kids First campaign team. While the entire state lost many races and many school boards flipped to democratic control, we were able to not only keep a Republican majority but pick up seats to increase the majority! Incredible collaboration, strategy and execution by this team. Well done !

  • Our current PRKidsFirst board members. For their unwavering support and exceptional campaign knowledge to support us.

  • Our meet & greet hosts, who opened up their homes and invited members of the communities to meet the candidates.

  • The team of door knockers that helped knock in every neighborhood across the regions.

  • The wonderful neighbors and friends who took time out of their day to work as poll greeters.

  • To the Richland and Pine GOP committees who provided financial and campaign support every step of the way.

  • The financial contributions from so many friends, neighbors in the community. We were able to get out our messaging inside our community. Especially allowed us to create the final mailers that the majority of them did not arrive in our homes until AFTER the election. Thank you US Postal Service.

  • All our neighbors who were able to get our word out to other neighbors by mouth, text or social media.

  • All the friends who effortlessly put out campaign signs and/or allowed signs to be put on their property.

  • All the neighbors that shared our website information that drove incredible traffic. Since Oct 16th, the first day the “Library books” blog, we have had over 2400 visits to the website. Incredible.

THANK YOU ALL !!

So, now for the results of the general elections. I want to point out that the Democrats had many many more absentee ballots than the republicans. Before November 7, the democrats were up in votes by a couple hundred. However, on November 7, the community SHOWED up and we CRUSHED them at the polls.

Region #2 - voting turnout in this district was at 47%

  • Leslie Miller - 1,742 votes (12% were mail in votes)

  • Patterson - 1,506 (40%)

Region #3 - voting turnout in this district was at 47%

  • Philip R. Morrissette - 1,366 votes (12% were mail in votes)

  • Mike Wiethorn - 1,332 (12%)

  • Buese - 1,150 (40%)

  • Mehalik - 1,115 (40%)

We mentioned back in May that the voter turnout in November would be critical for PR Kids First campaign. Well, our community turned out and provided more than 50% advantage to each candidate at the polls on November 7. Amazing and makes us very proud to serve this community.

Again, THANK YOU ALL, we are humbled to have such great support from all of you. Remember, we are in this together for our children.

Leslie / Mike / Phil
